Alfred created hundreds of paintings in the 1970s, working in the studio in his house in Lehrte, Germany. He was well known in his hometown, although he didn’t exhibit frequently. He often gave his work to his friends and family. He created watercolours but the majority of his paintings were acrylic on burlap.
